What started my love for photography?  It started when I saw a photographer working and not wearing any shoes…  I thought how great of a job that must be to not have to wear shoes! I was 8 years old, and I hated shoes.  What has continued my love for photography was realizing that the moments I get to capture, are now turned into a forever keepsake.  Those moments won't be long forgotten memories.  They will hang beautifully on your walls so you can re-live those moments for a lifetime!

 

I am a mother of two crazy little boys and a wife to one hell of a man who has always supported me.  During the week I get to be a stay at home mom with the littlest boy.  I never intended to be a stay at home mom, I went to St. Ambrose University and earned my Bachelors in Business and Marketing, and was on my way into the corporate world.  However, when my son was born and needed two open heart surgeries, we decided I needed to be home with him.  And now, i am grateful I get to hang out with my boys all week, and then on the weekends, i get to spend it with you, on the best day of your life!!!  The best part of my job is that it has never felt like a job.  I truly love what I do!

 

I have photographed babies, families, food (have you seen the Barrel House menu, yep I did that!) Maternity, seniors, real estate, headshots, you name it I have taken its photo.  But it's you two, as a couple, that has made me decide to focus solely on LOVE.  I believe in raw, silly, over the top and passionate love. I want everyone to see you with your best friend, laughing, smiling, and just having the best day ever!

 

I am down to earth, loyal and not afraid to be silly to get that genuine smile out of you!  I hear all the time how my couples think, “But I’m not photogenic!” I hear you, I understand. I hate being on the other side of the camera myself.  But I have a little bag of tricks I like to use, to help bring out the authentic and genuine you!   I don’t like to do stiff poses, it’s about connection to each other. I help you let loose to be your genuine self without fear of how you’ll look. Because I promise you, when you are authentically yourself, you’ve never looked so good. And best of all, it makes being photographed FUN. Yes, I said the f-word.
